My First Site
So, after a few days of constant work I finally got the blog to a sudo-presentable state. I'm still not entirely satisfied with the backgrounds and the icons but they're only temporary and will change in due time, the only question is how would I make it all look nice and pleasing? I somewhat got an idea for the theme but to make it all fit together would be a challenge, let alone trying to keep it consistent.
I'll admit, I feel nervous and full of cringe that I'm posting soo much old and new shit on here, but after a lot of depressive self reflection I finally realized something: I like showing people what I made! I drew quite a bunch over these few years but only kept many to myself and some to my friends, and at times I would even show my very old crap. But I've felt really happy with what I made when I shared them around and got feedback from it even if it's simply unfinished or just a quick and lazy doodle. So it was about time I did something about that, a place where I could call home, a place where I could do whatever!
Why a Blog Site?
A friend of mine Recommended Blogger since a creator he follows also uses Blogger to post whatever he wanted. He showed me an example of what one can do with this site and I was immediately hooked, and while going through the options and what I can do to my site I fell in love! Now while the blog itself is still in more need of polishing and maybe a big change in how organization works, I haven't felt this fun customizing something since the old days of YouTube where you could change your whole Profile background, remember that? :P
Anyhow, lately I felt a bit down and unmotivated to draw for quite some time since I kept having the mind set of needing to complete something and post it, which stressed me out whenever I tried forcing myself. I knew this was a bad mentality to have but I couldn't help think about it, but with my own place to post whatever I want I don't have to worry about that anymore. I guess a big reason is that Twitter being the dominant site, lacked in organization and Archiving so I was afraid that whatever crap I posted would be forgotten deep down in the endless page scrolling of the bottom abyss, whenever someone wanted to search for something specific and not whiff through other things that they don't want to see.
Why not X ?
Deviant Art is an alright place to post art, and while I like the idea that you can open a page and view all of the artworks on a screen compared to this blog site where you scroll one post at a time, DA doesn't fit really fit what I'm looking for in terms of sorting my growing Art Collection. Let alone DA is SFW only.
Twitter is a better site to grow and one can interact with people more clearly and openly, but it's terrible in terms of archiving and scrolling to old posts since page customization is rather non-existent. Yea you can click on "Media" to see any images the user posted but it often gets mixed with non-art related stuff that the user probably posted in the comment section or something in another profile. Let alone you gotta scroll endlessly to find stuff.
TLDR Version
First Site: Iz nice, some work to do, I like sharing! :D
Why Blog: I can sort good! :D
Why not X: They suck at sorting and some I can't post booba! >:(
